Eyelid Surgery
There are various surgeries that can be performed on the upper and lower eyelids to correct cosmetic issues or functional problems that affect vision. Many of these problems result from aging, but others can develop due to trauma, cancer, or birth defects.
With age, the skin around the eyes loses elasticity and fat may gather above and below the eyelids, causing sagging eyebrows, droopy upper lids, and bags under the eyes. Besides making people look older, sagging skin around the eyes can reduce peripheral vision. A blepharoplasty, or eyelid lift, can reduce or eliminate these vision problems while making eyes appear younger and more alert. Sometimes the muscle that lifts the upper eyelid needs to be strengthened with a ptosis repair surgery.
There are numerous other surgeries to correct upper and lower eyelid malpositions. We have extensive training and experience in performing eyelid surgery while carefully protecting the function of the eye.

Eyebrow Surgery
A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, reduces sagging of skin and wrinkling on the forehead and above the nose, as well as elevates and shapes the eyebrows. There are multiple surgical approaches to the brow lift, and these different approaches may be used alone or in combination to create the best result for a patient. Furthermore, there are often concomitant eyelid issues that need to be addressed, such as with a blepharoplasty. Our team takes each patient’s unique anatomy into consideration when designing an eyelid or brow lift, and we use a variety of approaches to make sure that our patients get the natural, youthful look they want without visible scars or unnatural distortion of the eye or hairline area.

Graves' Disease
Graves' disease is an autoimmune system disorder that results in the overproduction of antibodies that cause thyroid issues. These same antibodies that attack the thyroid can attack the tissue around the eye, resulting in thyroid eye disease. There is a wide spectrum within this disease, but common symptoms include bulging eyes, double vision, eye pain, red and irritated eyes, and even vision loss. There are a variety of treatment strategies, including surgical and medical, that should be tailored to each patient’s specific needs.
Our team has the specialized training and experience to perform the delicate surgeries required with this disease, such as orbital decompression, while protecting the patient’s sight and restoring their appearance. In addition, we are specialized in the use of Tepezza to treat thyroid eye disease. Tepezza, or temprotumumab, is the only FDA approved medication to treat thyroid eye disease. We have seen it help many patients who struggle with this debilitating disease.

The lacrimal system is essential to the comfort and function of the human eye. Tears are produced by lacrimal glands which are necessary to lubricate and protect your eye. There are a variety of conditions that can impair the proper drainage of tears. This leads to the tears accumulating in your eye and then rolling down your face. We are experts in helping to solve tearing and create proper drainage pathways for the tears.
